Update from Andrew's dad

There has been a big response to Missing Live's appeal for Andrew. I am going to London to follow up on a potential lead tomorrow with my brother Mike and the BBC are filming part of that for Fridays programme (BBC1 9.15a.m.).
My wife Glenys has done some press interviews lately: the Daily Telegraph has a good article on its website under "features" and there is a good article in "New" magazine (May 5th issue out today) on page 70. Thursday's issue of "Real People" will have an article on missing kids including some information about Andrew.
I will be in the studio for Missing Live with my Mum Val on Monday 5th BBC1 9.15a.m.
Please everyone let folks know about these things - the more people looking out for our lad the better!

Hi, I REALLY hope this helps.

From the publicity released on Andrew Gosden, I am almost convinced he has Asperger's Syndrome (www.aspergia.com) a form of Autism, just a few of the characteristics mentioned about him that coincide with an Asperger's diagnosis are High IQ, Poor Social Skills, Very independant, and prone to obsessions.

IF this is right, which I am almost certain it is, the police are approaching it all wrong. People/Children with Asperger's Syndrome have difficulties understanding emotions, so emotional appeals etc won't work. It will be cold hard logic and method... though patterns in his logic will differ from a neurotypical definition. If I'm right, they key to his safe return won't be trying to find people connected to him, he won't like people, he'll be doing this on his own, or as on his own as he can. The key is in his obsessions. A celebrity or TV show he likes...
(For example, if in a TV show he follows a character runs away and is found in a cave in the woods... that might be your biggest clue (I don't think he's in a cave in the woods... that would be silly))

I know it may sound farfetched... but I'm positive. I have Asperger's Syndrome myself.
It's possible Andrew is undiagnosed, or self diagnosed.
